We have large areas of the farm dedicated to seed production. All of our seed is collected in an ecologically responsible manner. We are also certified seed collectors with the Forest Gene Conservation Association.

When seeding prairie one needs patience, a typical seeding takes 3-4 years to establish.

Much of the energy of prairie species is dedicated to root production with little top growth in the first years. This is a survival mechanism that allows them to tolerate very dry conditions.
