Prairie Gardening (dry areas) - Talk and Walk Prairie gardens are ideal for areas where there is lots of sun and little water. In areas with watering bans Ontario prairie plants stay green because their roots penetrate deep into the soil and they are adapted to dry conditions. I will discuss the basics of establishing and maintaining a prairie garden. I will also go through many types of prairie plants and discuss their traits.
